Suzanne Gutierrez heads our Clinical Research Division. She began her career in medicine in 1983, and has extensive experience as a clinician and administrator. For over 15 years, she served as the Clinic Director for Cypress Medical Center, South Florida Affiliated Health and Rehabilitation Center and Cypress Creek Chiropractic Center. She continues to be an outstanding leader in the Infinity Clinical Research organization. From 2001 until 2010, she served as the Director of Operations for Sunrise Medical Group’s Fort Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines offices. She also worked as a Site Coordinator and Programs Administrator for new medical groups joining Sunrise Medical Group, Inc. Sue is now responsible for the oversight of all Infinity Clinical Research Operations.

Mara Di Mattia has worked in the medical industry since 1987 and brings her broad range of experience and expertise having served in both clinical and administrative roles. She began her medical career in Neurology in an administrative capacity and went on to obtain clinical training in Emergency Medical Technology and IV Therapy. In 1998, she began her research career conducting clinical trials and has extensive training in all aspects of Phase I through IV clinical trials in many clinical indications, including Rheumatology/Immunology, Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonary Disease, and Sleep Disorders. It’s Mara’s love and passion for science and commitment to our patients that fuels her quest to seek out novel and innovative new compounds and therapeutic agents to maintain Infinity Clinical Research as an industry leader on the forefront of new drug research and development.
Ailin Rodriguez

Infinity Clinical Research welcomes Ailin Rodriguez as our newest team member. Prior to joining Infinity, Ailin was employed as a Research Associate for the FIU/NYU School of Social Work. She has taken part in multiple research projects including two social studies investigating the living conditions of the elderly in impoverished Cuban communities. Her research projects have allowed her to work with prestigious socio-psychologists and sociologists from both Cuba and the United States. Ailin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Florida International University.

Joel Espinoza began his career in clinical research in 2000 running phase 1 trials. He went on to conduct all phases and is knowledgeable in all areas of research including budgeting, GCP, and regulatory. Joel earned his Associate of Science degree in 2001 and went on to complete his coursework for the Physician Assistant program. Joel specializes in Alzheimer’s trials for Infinity Clinical Research. He is committed to quality patient care, possesses outstanding interpersonal skills and is frequently recognized by his colleagues for strict attention to detail, patient advocacy and his decision-making abilities.
Wendy Levy, CCRC

Wendy Levy earned her degree as a medical doctor in her native Guatemala in 1994 and was awarded the “School of Medicine Dean Award” for her graduating thesis. She went on to begin her surgical residency in 1999, but moved to the United States to pursue better opportunities for herself and her family. She began her career in clinical research in 2006 and worked for the University of Miami Department of Neurology specializing in Parkinson’s Disease research. She comes to us with five years of research experience and currently runs all of the Parkinson’s trials for Infinity Clinical Research, as well as other Neuroscience trials.

Becky Nembhard has worked in the clinical research industry since 1988, with experience ranging from basic science to post-marketing trials. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with Minors in Chemistry and Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. As an Independent Clinical Research Associate for a major Contract Research Organization, and as a consultant with over 17 years of research experience, Becky has served in many capacities and has expertise in numerous therapeutic areas. We are very fortunate that she brings her vast knowledge base to us to lead our Hollywood Cardiology Site.

Lucy Vargas leads our Pulmonary research site and has extensive experience in all phases of research and in many clinical indications. She earned her Occupational Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology in 1988 from Eastern Technical School in New York City and began her research career at that time. She went on to obtain training and become a Registered Medical Assistant in 2002 earning her certification from the National School of Technology. Lucy is a shining star in our Pulmonary Research Division.

Michele Fistel began her research career in 1999, and has a wide range of experience in a myriad of clinical trials in Neurology and Colo-rectal Surgery but also has extensive clinical experience having served as a nurse since 1974. Michele earned her practical nursing degree from Saint Barnabas Medical Center School of Practical Nursing in Livingston, New Jersey. She is ACRP certified and is also trained to perform psychometric assessments for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and MS studies. We are fortunate to have Michele as part of the Pompano Beach Neurology team.
Rebecca Radzivill, MS, LMHC, CCRC

We are fortunate to have Rebecca Radzivill as part of the Pompano Beach Neurology team. Rebecca comes to us with a vast array of clinical and research experience. She is a licensed Mental Health Counselor, working as a Psychotherapist since earning her Master’s Degree from the City University of New York, and has completed a PhD program (all but dissertation) at the University of Miami. Since 2000, Rebecca has worked in the Clinical Research industry and held various positions including Senior Clinical Research Coordinator, Site Manager, and Study Monitor for a major Contract Research Organization. She is also certified in performing psychometric assessments in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and MS and has served as a Rater on numerous Psychiatric and Neurologic clinical trials.

Alejandro Saenz runs our hospital-based clinical research unit at Northshore Medical Center – FMC Campus in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Alex is a foreign medical graduate and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in 1984. He worked as a physician for the Mexican Health Department until he relocated to the United States in 1991. He comes to Infinity Clinical Research with extensive experience having begun his research career in 1992 at the University of Miami Clinical Pharmacology Unit as a research assistant. There, he conducted early phase trials in numerous clinical indications for over ten years and although beginning as a research assistant, he went on to lead the research team as a Senior Clinical Research Associate. With just a few more stops along the way, Alex now brings his impressive work history to lead the team at Infinity’s newest research site – our early phase clinical pharmacology unit.
